NDEWO Photography Scholarship Application

Ndewo Africa and Imagine8 have collaborated to sponsor 10 students to enroll in a photography course at the Kigali Center for Photography. The scholarship aims to support aspiring photographers by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop their careers.

NDEWO Photography Scholarship Application

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in photography and visual storytelling.
2. Open to individuals aged 18 and above.
3. Must have access to a camera or smartphone with a camera for practice and assignments.
4. Priority will be given to individuals from underrepresented communities or those with financial constraints.
5. Must be able to commit to the full duration of the course.
6. Applicants must submit a portfolio of 5–10 original photographs.
7. A motivation letter explaining why the applicant wants to pursue photography and how the scholarship will benefit them is required.

Scholarship Conditions:

1. Enrollment is confirmed with a letter of registration.
2. Once registered, students cannot postpone, defer, or change courses unless extraordinary circumstances prevail. Any request must be submitted three weeks before the course begins.
3. The Kigali Center for Photography and Ndewo obtain the right to use work produced during the course for archival, marketing, and publicity purposes.
4. Students are responsible for backing up their work; any data not retrieved within six months after course completion will be deleted.
5. All students must adhere to the official code of conduct issued during orientation.
6. The Kigali Center for Photography and Ndewo right to market its events and programs to all registered students unless they opt out in writing.
7. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Any student found submitting work that is not their own will be excluded from the course.
8. Examination results may be shared with sponsors and relevant stakeholders.
   
   Portfolio Submission Attach 5–10 original photographs that showcase your photography skills.
   Motivation Letter Attach a motivation letter (maximum 500 words) explaining why you want to pursue photography and how this scholarship will benefit you.
