- Basic Photography / Beginner Photography
We focus on the group of girls / women who are passionate and willing to learn and start their journey in Visual storytelling .
This course is designed to help them understand the basics of light and teachers also help them understand camera and how to take pictures with it.
This course in photography is aimed at beginners and keen amateurs that wish to gain a better understanding of their equipment and greater creative control. - Intermediate Photography is designed for those who already in Photography and have a basic knowledge of digital Photography and need assistance in their career..
- We don’t teach about what the camera can do but, what you what you can do with your camera! how do you create a body of work .
MENTOR : JES WRIGHTJes Wright is an American photographer from Charleston, SC. She recently graduated from Princeton University, where she earned a BA in public policy and international relations and studied art photography. Currently, Jes works on the Development and Communications team at Gardens for Health International in Ndera, Rwanda, where she produces much of the organizations’ outward-facing digital media (photography, writing, videography).

MENTOR : ALICE KAYIBANDAAlice Kayibanda is a well established Photographer based in photographer.
Ever since her childhood, she loved looking at photographs. Eventually she took up photography after working several years in office. She has a penchant for capturing people in their environment, and tell their stories to various audiences through compelling visual storytelling. ASSISTANT : JACQUES NKINZINGABOJacques NKINZINGABO is a self-taught Photographer, Visual storyteller and Director of the Kigali center for Photography .
His work focuses on personal experiences, cultural diversity, identity issues, migration and memories. And his work has been exhibited Worldwide, From Kigali to New York, New Delhi- India , Bogota-Colombia, Paris- France , Germany , Hungary and have participated in different group Exhibitions . His recent project “ I am Survivor “ was appointed to be part of the National Museum and Colonial Museum of Bogota, Colombia . He has been commissioned by The New York Times , Washington Post , AFP , Wall street Journal , Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Trust , WaterAid UK , UNICEF , OXFAM , The Global Fund , and many more... ASSISTANT : JEAN LUC HABIMANAJean Luc is a professional photographer with more than 5 years of experience working in documentary, commercial & non-profit, and portrait photography.
He works both with non-profits and social organizations to share their stories through photography and multimedia narratives. His work frequently focuses on lifestyle, including gender balance promotion, economic inclusiveness, youth empowerment and education. His goal is a creative, honest, and emotional photography that resonates with any targeted audience. Jean Luc is also the cofounder of Image Rwanda, the first of its kind imagery stock in Rwanda and the region. |
